serendipityjewels is a collection of one of a kind beaded jewelry. The dictionary defines serendipity as "the faculty of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for." I chose the name "serendipity" because that is the way my jewelry comes to life. Sometimes a pendant by a talented artist catches my eye. Travels to China, South America and Mexico are opportunities to discover wonderful beads and unusual pendants. Even every day errands can yield new elements to collect. The randomness of my finds then leads to the excitement of choosing the perfect combination of complementary materials to form a unique new whole. Sometimes it is almost as if they select themselves!
